Myocardial Infarction: Commonly known as a heart attack. When the heart is devoid of oxygen supply and blood flow cardiac ischemia occurs, the heart is rendered unable to pump blood properly. If cardiac ischemia lasts for too long a heart attack occurs. The most common symptom of a heart attack is increasing chest pain.
Congenital heart disease: The heart can be structurally damaged from the time of birth. The damage is sometimes detected at a gestational age of 20 weeks or may go undetected for a long time, until then the condition may have caused serious complications.
Ventricular septal defect- In this condition, an opening or a hole is present in the lower chamber of the heart. VSD may result in heart failure, arrhythmias, pulmonary hypertension, and stroke.
Bicuspid aortic valve- Normally the aortic valve has three cusps or flaps. In this condition, there are only two cusps present, the missing cusp makes it difficult for the heart to pump blood into the body’s main artery. People with bicuspid aortic valve cases develop serious, life-threatening complications.
Fallot of tetralogy- A condition caused by four defects present at birth. Tetralogy of the Fallot causes oxygen-poor blood to flow out of the heart into the rest of the body.
